Position Overview: Phykon is seeking a skilled IT Support Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be proficient in managing client communications, installing and configuring software systems, and working closely with QA and Dev teams to identify and resolve issues. This role requires a strong background in deploying and maintaining applications, performing root cause analysis, and providing technical assistance to both internal and external customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Client Communication: Effectively manage and maintain client communications.
  • Software Management: Install, configure, and maintain various software systems.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with QA and Dev teams to clearly identify and communicate issues.
  • Tool Configuration: Build and configure tools to minimize errors and enhance the customer experience.
  • Error Analysis: Perform root cause analysis to identify and resolve issues.
  • Application Deployment: Deploy applications such as Web servers (Apache, Nginx), Database servers (MySQL, MongoDB), and VoIP applications (Elastix, Vicidial, FreePBX, Dahdi).
  • Technical Assistance: Provide technical support for Web Servers, Database Servers, and VoIP applications to internal and external customers.
  • High Availability Management: Manage High Availability and Database replication to ensure optimal system performance.
  • Issue Resolution: Efficiently resolve issues within defined SLAs to ensure customer satisfaction.

Technical Expertise:

  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Linux Systems: Strong knowledge of Linux operating systems.
  • VoIP Technologies: In-depth understanding of VoIP and SIP technologies.
  • Product Installation: Extensive experience in the installation and configuration of various products.
  • Open-source VoIP Solutions: Proficient in open-source VoIP solutions like Asterisk, FreeSWITCH, OpenSIPS, and Kamailio.
  • Diagnostic Tools: Skilled in using diagnostic tools such as Wireshark, TCPdump, SIPp, Fail2Ban, and IPTables.
  • Analytical Skills: Excellent analytical and troubleshooting abilities.
  • Database Knowledge: Solid understanding of MySQL and MongoDB databases, including Database Replication and Heartbeat configuration.
  • Client Support: Proven ability in providing excellent client support.
  • AWS Cloud Exposure.
